Road Baptist Child Development Center began as a dream of Moffett Road Baptist
Church back in 1984. At the time, many ‘stay-at-home’ moms were entering the
work force, and there was an enormous need for a Christian based, quality child
care center in our area. After months of praying and planning, the CDC opened
its doors in August of 1984 with forty students. Our Director, Barbara Driskell,
signed on four weeks after we opened, and she’s been at the helm ever since. The Lord
has truly blessed our center over the years, and we have grown to be
one of the largest, and most widely respected child care facilities serving the
Mobile area. We currently have an enrollment of over 200 students, from six
weeks of age up through fifth grade. Our staff consists of
40 tremendously dedicated and well-trained caregivers and teachers who
have a heart for the Lord, and a deep love for their students and their
families. We are
continuously looking toward the future.
We continue to strive to provide your child with the very best care and learning
environment possible, and we hope to be able to continue ministering to the
families in this area for many, many years to come!
